These days... there's lots going on. I started my last class of my specialist program last night. I have 7 more weeks before I'm DONE and will graduate! Of course, I have a few papers and presentations for this class, as well as putting together a portfolio (that's due at the end of the month). The end IS in sight!!!
This Saturday, we are pulling the carpet up and refinishing the hardwoods that are underneath. We are also getting granite countertops put in next week in the kitchen. I'm slightly stressing at the fact that we have to move all our stuff off of the carpet. Not very sure where we will put it all, but I guess we'll find somewhere to put it. (Be on the lookout for pictures... they will be coming!)
Also, Chris is training constantly. His first race is the end of April. We will celebrate our anniversary by going to St. Petersburg, Fl. again. Unfortunately we won't be staying at the Vinoy like we did last year. But we're excited about going! :) We had a wonderful time last year and we're looking forward to another fun time.

TEAM IN TRAINING
Chris has signed up for TNT again. He's doing another triathlon with them. This time, we're headed for Austin, TX at the end of May.
Also, this time around, he's mentoring some of the other participants. We are going back to the St. Anthony's triathlon in April, as well as a few others. He's just doing those on his own, as a part of the Peachtree Triathlon Club.
We will also be hosting (I assume) another cocktail party to raise money for TNT. If you are interested in purchasing a cake from me (proceeds to go to TNT), let me know.
Here's the link for you to donate to Team In Training.

I was tagged!!!
Rachel tagged me to tell SEVEN interesting things about me... Considering that most people who look at my blog have known me for... forever, some of my things might not be so interesting, but I will try to spice it up...just the same...Here it goes...
1. I absolutely LOVE to read... I love to get completely lost in a book. And, I do... ask Chris- he has to yell at me sometimes to get my attention when I'm lost in a book. I usually envision myself as the main character (if it's a girl, of course)...my new favorite books to read are the Stephanie Plum novels written by Janet Evanovich. Stephanie cracks me up (if you haven't read them, she's basically a "Bounty hunter from hell" because she is definitely not qualified for the job and has crazy things happen to her. Plus her two love interests (Ranger and Joe)... I'll just say YUM!
2. I wish I had a good voice. I LOVE to sing... therefore, I love any music I can sing to. Unfortunately, my voice isn't that strong... and I'm extremely shy and would never sing in front of anyone.
3. I wish I wasn't as shy and quiet as I am. I've always wanted to be a loud and outgoing girl, that didn't care what people thought... and was the life of the party. But, I'm a quiet girl, with a good sense of humor that not many people see...and I love to make people laugh.
4. I took dance (like Rachel), ballet, tap and jazz all growing up... until I graduated. I miss it tremendously, but I am NOT graceful at all. Not only am I not graceful... there is NOT an athletic bone in my body. I'm "re-learning" to ride a bicycle at the age of 31. I'm a bit wobbly like a 6 year old just learning to ride for the first time. And I'm terrified of falling.
5. I love to bake. I don't care much to eat the sweets, just to bake them. I'd love to take pastry classes or cake decorating classes... It would be so fun to be a pastry chef, I think.
6. I HATE scary movies. I have an overactive imagination and have to be very careful what I watch or read before bed.
7. I'm a tv junkie. I love to watch reruns of those cheesey shows we all love like Gilmore Girls, Beverly Hills 90210 (Yes, I LOVE Dylan), Dawson's Creek, etc...
There's probably more interesting things about me, but that's what I came up with... hope you enjoyed it. :) Now, I'm supposed to tag 7 people to do the same thing. If you see your name below, then "Tag! You're it!"
Mary Kay Harman
Cindy Haislip
Heather Kendrick
Mary Katherine Cloer
Tammy Elrick
Amy Scoggins (you only need do it once, since Rachel tagged you too)
Amber Wiley

Snowy days and crocheting
Okay, so those of you who knew my mom, might remember that she was always working on some craft or another. She cross stitched, sewed, painted... etc... and crocheted. And of course, the one thing she never taught me was to crochet. I finally made time with a friend, that knows how, to teach me. I've been working mainly on the different stitches and yesterday when it snowed, I took it as a good day to stay inside and try my hand at a project. I made my first ever dishcloth. And, by the time I went to bed last night, my fingers were definitely cramping! :) I went outside ONLY long enough to take a few pictures. Being a sun bunny myself... I think the snow is pretty to look at (From the WARM comforts of my house!). It also gave my an opportunity to play around with my new camera! Here are the pictures from Wednesday's snow and yesterday...

Christmas
Chris and I had a wonderful Christmas. We went to visit his family in south Georgia on Saturday. We stayed until Christmas day. We drove back to Atlanta shortly after lunch and celebrated Christmas at our house before heading to my dad's house. We were very blessed and got many wonderful presents.
Chris says his favorite present is a print from his first Triathlon that was signed by Ed. Ed was his Team's hero. Ed is an amazing man and is currently cancer free.
My favorite present was a new camera. I've been wanting a Nikon D40 for a while now and Chris (the most wonderful husband in the world) surprised me with one!
We hope that everyone's Christmas was as wonderful!!!

Lindsay and I should become architects
So, my friend Lindsay brought a gingerbread house kit over yesterday and we decorated it! We had a lot of fun and of course, laughed a lot. Here's a few pictures of our masterpiece!

The bathroom is FINISHED!!!
Chris finally finished the bathroom this past weekend. I'm so impressed with my wonderful and talented husband. I love our bathroom! It feels like I'm in a brand new house when I am in there. Hope you enjoy the pictures!
